Lapsang tea is distinct from other types of tea because leave are traditionally smoke-dried over pinewood fires. It is considered the first black tea in history. The leaves are roasted in a bamboo basket called a h??nglóng which is heated over burning firewood, which contributes to the aroma, such as the dried longan aroma, smoky and other flavours.
