Discover the beauty of weld through creative tie-dye techniques. In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to bind, fold, and dye fabric using weld, one of the oldest and most luminous natural yellow dyes.
You will explore simple resist methods, experiment with pattern and colour variations, and create your own unique naturally dyed textile to take home. No prior experience is needed. All basic materials are provided.
Fabric Material Cost:
Additional fabric fee applies (cotton and silk starting from $8, depending on material). You are welcome to bring your own pre-washed natural fiber fabric (under 100g in weight).
Class Size: 3–6 participants.
If fewer than 3 participants are registered 48 hours before the workshop, the class will be cancelled or rescheduled to a later date.
Cancellation Policy:
Due to the preparation time required for the dye bath (which begins 48 hours in advance), cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the workshop start time.
This workshop is perfect for anyone interested in sustainable craft, textile art, and working with natural dyes.
